I think it's only fair that I also share the things that make me sad. I rarely get sad nowadays because I can't afford to be! Most of the time, I replace it with something else like angry, frustration and sometimes even good positive stuff like humor.
But a list is a list right?
1. When I feel helpless. We all try to be strong in facing life's challenges, but sometimes it just keeps coming. Like, could I take a vacation or something?
2. Other sad people. Generally, I try to be helpful to others, but then I learned that you really can't change negativity (try!). They'll pull you down no matter how hard you try to be positive. Best thing I did is to avoid them.
3. Having no money. Yes, it sounds stupid I know, but it's related to number 1. I work hard and I actually make money with my businesses, but then it just goes away like that - snap! I don't even buy luxuries! I'm actually a very simple guy.
4. Personal relationships. Well, I haven't had much problem with these, but it's really true that the ones that we love the most, can also hurt us the most! I know it sounds corny. But it's true! Hahaha. No problem with that right now, I have a wonderful family :)
5. I would agree with Jeremy on number 1. My own mortality. Death has been on my mind a lot lately, not because I am suicidal or anything hahaha, but it always crosses my mind. It actually doesn't make me sad, but sometimes scared. Lol.
What I do to not be sad? For all of the above, I just focus on work, work work. Work actually makes me happy. Writing, blogging, and all of that. :)
Well since you commented on all of ours, I'll return the favor! 1) I know the feeling. The best thing we can do is be strong right?
2) I totally get what you're saying. While I understand that not everyday is a happy go lucky day, there are sunny days too. Usually, I refer people to a pyschiatrist, because constant negativity is not a good sign.
3)This! And no, its not stupid. In a world that seems to breathe money, having none is definitely an ego killer. How will you support yourself? Where will my next check come from? Who will have my back when I need them? It is not a stupid fear. I'm just worried about the children who will grow up in this, yet not learn anything from it.
4. I stay away from relationships, lol.
5. I was thinking about this a couple of days ago. I guess I'm not scared of death, but the way I go, and what happens after. See, death is the one thing you don't know about. There are no witnesses, no nothing. All we can do is live like there is no tomorrow, because there might not be. Not saying, get drunk, have loads of rage sex, and whatnot, but appreciate the air we breathe and stuff like that.

As to death, I've faced it so many times already - so close. I just figured that it wasn't my time yet. But yeah, I totally get you on the afterlife thing. I've been raised as a Christian but there are a lot of questions and you know, long story hahaha.
